Since 2013, the Dalai Lama Foundation, Nandurbar has been dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities by delivering impactful programs in education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and social empowerment—transforming lives across rural and tribal regions of Maharashtra.
Who We Are
The Dalai Lama Foundation, Nandurbar, founded on 26th September 2013, is a grassroots nonprofit committed to uplifting rural and tribal communities in Maharashtra. Guided by the principle “Il Bhavatu Sabba Mangalam” — May all beings be happy — we work across sectors like education, healthcare, women and child welfare, and environmental protection.
Through community-driven initiatives and strategic partnerships, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and build a more just, inclusive, and sustainable society.

🍽️ Feeding over 200 needy individuals daily through our Shiv Bhojan Kendra, ensuring that hunger is not a barrier to dignity.
🧼 Championing grassroots sanitation and hygiene initiatives in collaboration with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, promoting a healthier, cleaner India from the ground up.
🏫 Empowering girls and tribal youth by supporting rural education through staffing and resources in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas and tribal residential schools.
